Availability of Way-to-Go Navigator Offers New Operator Services for Consumers
GPS-Enabled Wireless Handset Gives On-Road and Off-Road Audible Direction Built with Microsoft MapPoint .NET Location Based Services Platform
GSM World Congress, Cannes, France -- 2/17/2003 -- Today, Clarity Communication Systems Inc (ClaritySM), announced Way-to-Go Navigator™, an affordable Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) navigation system providing accurate location services from a wireless GPS-enabled handset. Way-to-Go Navigator, the first release in a series of location services products will evolve over the next several months to include tracking and management, as well as info-tainment capabilities such as “where are my friends”.
Using advanced programming techniques, Clarity has created a unique hands-off/eyes-off user interface, a first for the wireless telecommunications industry. This interface makes Way-to-Go navigation system safe and easy to use for all skill levels.
According to Jim Fuentes, founder and CEO of Clarity, “With Way-to-Go users get clear turn-by-turn audible instructions, including street names and distances to next maneuver, allowing them to quickly navigate around traffic jams, track progress towards a planned destination, avoid getting lost, re-route their path if off-course, and much more.”
