Clarity Communication Systems’ Whereabouts™
Triumphs at The 2005 Global LBS Challenge

Whereabouts™ Wins Top Honors in Personal Security Category

Aurora, Illinois, May 2, 2005 – Clarity Communication Systems Inc., a provider of Location-Based Services (LBS), Push-to-Talk technology, and custom product solutions for the mobile marketplace, won top honors in the Personal Security Category for its Whereabouts™ solution at the 2005 NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge. The Challenge was created to stimulate location-enabled services in the wireless space, encouraging and recognizing developers building innovative applications. The NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge was held in conjunction with the CTIA WIRELESS 2005 Conference in New Orleans on March 14-16, 2005.

"We believe that location awareness in cellular phones will be the key driver -- particularly in the personal security category -- of how users can benefit from the vast amount of information available to them wirelessly, ” states Jim Fuentes, Clarity Founder and CEO. “Just reading the headlines in the papers recently underscores the value a product like Whereabouts can represent to families. Personal safety and the safety of loved ones are critical concerns in today’s environment.”

Whereabouts™ is a Child Locator System that enables parents to use their cell phones or the Internet to locate their children -- or other family members in a secure, non-intrusive manner.

With Whereabouts™, parents have the security of knowing their loved ones are safe, without having to make dozens of phone calls to find out where they are. Key product features include instant notification of when children arrive or do not arrive at a destination, real-time alerts for speeding, a one-touch emergency notification mechanism, and the ability to instantly communicate with family members throughout the day.

"NAVTEQ is pleased to name Clarity Communication Systems as the winner of the Personal Security category," said Winston Guillory, Senior Vice President of North American Sales for NAVTEQ. "This event highlights the market demand for location-enabled products and services, as well as recognition by the wireless carriers of the value-add that these services bring to their customers."
