| Clarity's RADiCL Architecture |
|
Designed to accelerate our development efforts, Clarity's RADiCL architecture (Rapid Application Development in Client Languages) is the foundation for all of our mobile applications.
Our success with RADiCAL led us to develop a commercial version - the Clarity Common Client (C3). A natural evolution of RADiCL, C3 provides an environment for creating and deploying innovative, easy-to-use applications across a wide range of mobile devices in 2.5G, 3G, converged, and IMS networks.

C3 is an extensible client architecture that offers a rich set of capabilities for handset providers and application developers to deliver differentiated services that drive market adoption and generate revenue. These application building blocks include:
- VoIP sessions
- VoIP over WiFi
- Presence and availability
- Centralized contact and group lists
- Location determination, geo-coding, and geo-zones
- Real-time alerts
- Video streams
- Privacy management
- Cellular and WiFi interoperability for fixed-mobile convergence (FMC)
- Security, including encryption with central key management and distribution
C3 reduces end user exposure to client management and provides a set of platform independent adaptors that enable the broadest possible coverage and reduce time to market.
Also, by providing functionality that enables seamless switching between various networks, C3 contributes to the usability and acceptance of FMC solutions.

Migration to IMS Networks
While C3 can be deployed in today's wireless networks, it was designed with the goal of evolving to IMS. Building on our SIP competency, C3 provides a single point for adapting to multiple IMS core vendors. The C3 IMS architecture enables complex network functions within the handset to be easily available to all applications simultaneously, eliminating possible conflicts between multiple applications competing for the same resources.
Today, Clarity is working with leading wireless infrastructure vendors and network operators to ensure that as the standards evolve, C3 evolves with them and continues to mirror the IMS core capabilities. |
